PASS IN STYLE DRIVER TRAINING
UK Trailer Training
1.1 When the following words with capital letters are used in these Terms this is what they
A booking made verbally, on line, by email, Text message or in writing for a driving
lesson(s) which include car and trailer training (B&E)

The driving lessons that Pass in Style Driver Training are providing to the Student
Car and Trailer (B&E)
2.1 These are the terms and conditions on which Pass in Style Driver Training provide
the Tuition to the Student
2.2 Please read these terms and conditions carefully as once Pass in Style Driver Training
have received a Booking the Student is deemed to have read and agreed with these Terms
which are binding on the Student and Pass in Style Driver Training. If the booking is for a
company, and booked on behalf of the student, the contract will be with the company.
2.3 The contract for Tuition is with Pass in Style Driver Training or agents who are working
on behalf of Pass in Style Driver Training.
2.4 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and both parties agree to
submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
3.1 Tuition may be booked on line, by email, by text message or verbally with an
instructor of Pass in Style Driver Training.
3.2 Prior to any lesson a Student may be required to undertake an eyesight test. If there
is any doubt about the test we will advise the Student to get an official eyesight test at an
optician. In these circumstances the booking fee will be payable in full and no refunds
will be given.
3.3 All lessons must be paid for in full prior to the lesson commencing.
3.3.1 If a booking is taken for a fixed date training course (vocational e.g. B&E Trailer):
3.3.2 On booking you will be invoiced in full for the training course required and all
3.3.3 Training dates will be confirmed when a payment is received. When a short notice
training course is taken. Payment must be made before commencement.
3.3.4 Non-payment could result in your training date being allocated to another person
who has paid.
3.4 Payment can be made by the following methods:
3.4.2 Credit or debit card payments via PayPal. PayPal may charge a surcharge for this
service. We can also accept card payments in person, but not over the phone. There is a
4% handling charge for this.
3.4.3 online bank transfer
3.4.4 a cheque (Please note a cheque will take at least 10 working days to clear and no
Booking will be accepted until the cheque has cleared.)
3.5 All deposits paid to Pass in Style Driver Training or Agents for any amount of lessons,
products or services are deemed as non-refundable upon payment.
3.6 All prices for Tuition from Pass in Style Driver Training or Agents are only agreed once a
deposit is received, otherwise prices are subject to change.
3.7 All training and driving lessons with Pass in Style Driver Training will be on a one-on-one
basis, unless otherwise agreed for example b+e training.
3.8 Certain circumstances beyond our control may make it necessary to reschedule your
Booking and/or driving test for a time mutually agreed between both parties. A refund will
only be given if Pass in Style or Agents are not available.
3.9 If a Student misses more than 2 consecutive weeks of booked lessons the Student will
lose the fee paid to Pass in Style Driver Training unless otherwise agreed with the
instructor. No refunds are permitted and we advise any Student booking online to check
availability over the telephone or by email before making any payments to avoid
4. Block Bookings / Intensive Courses / Crash Courses
4.1 Where an offer is taken of either our introductory offers for a block of Bookings, an
intensive course or crash course of Bookings it is entirely at instructor’s discretion when
these lessons can be redeemed. The instructor may permit the Student to take an initial
set of driving lessons when starting their Tuition and then the remaining balance when
they reach test standard at the instructor’s discretion.
4.2 Unless deemed necessary by Pass in Style Driver Training or Agents there cannot be a
break between block booked lessons, intensive course or crash course lessons of more than
2 weeks otherwise the remaining lessons will be forfeited. Abuse of this will result in the
remaining lessons being revoked with the possibility of a refund at the instructor’s
4.3 Once a block booking/intensive course/crash course/b+e course is paid for, there will
be no refunds unless the services are not available for any reason from Pass in Style Driver
Training or Agents.
4.4 Any Student booking any of the courses available, must commence the training within
6 months otherwise they will lose all remaining lessons with no refund payable (the time
period to commence from the date payment was received).
4.5 For all intensive driving courses that are booked with Pass in Style Driver Training or
Agents, it is required that a minimum of 5 hours per week are participated in by the
Student until the hours that have been booked have been used. For all crash courses that
are booked with Pass in style Driver Training or Agents, it is required that a minimum of 15
hours per week are participated in by the student until the hours that have been booked
have been used. A failure to do so may result in the course being revoked with no refund
provided. Pass in Style Driver Training cannot be held responsible for failure to meet this
requirement, once a Student’s lessons have been entered into the booking system – it is
the Student’s responsibility to meet these allotted time slots as booked.
4.6 A 50% deposit must be paid to secure a block booking/intensive course/crash course/
with Pass in Style Driver Training. The remainder of a course fee is to be paid at the start
of the course if not already paid in full. If payment in full is not received prior to the start
of the course then any deposit paid will be forfeited and no refunds will be given. (Please
note that all prices DO NOT include VAT)
4.7 Before starting an intensive course/crash course we recommend that the theory test is
passed as without this the Student will not be able to take the practical driving test and
this may result in the Student having to take additional lessons.
4.8 If a Student does not complete the block booking/intensive course/crash course/b+e
course booked, for any reason, no refunds will be given.
5. Cancellation/Refund Policy:
5.1 A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is normally required for any cancellations or
rescheduling of lessons. If the Student does not give at least 48 hours’ notice of
cancellation the Student will be charged in full for the lesson. Please note this 48 hour
notice period does not apply to block bookings, intensive courses or crash courses and no
refunds or cancellations are permitted for such courses unless the services are not
available for any reason from Pass in Style.
For Vocational courses:
Due to difficulties filling allocated training days at short notice, training course
cancellations are chargeable, unless we can fill the cancelled slot with equivalent
training. Therefore training cancelled:
Over 28 days – zero cost (except for any services that may have already been paid for such
as medicals etc.)
Between 7-28 days (inclusive) 50% of full cost
Less than 7 days – 100% of full cost
5.2 If a Student is more than 15 minutes late or does not appear at the prior arranged
location of pick up for any driving lesson/b+e course, test – the lesson/course will be
classed as a “no show” and charges at the full rate agreed will still be payable.
5.3 Pass in Style Driver Training or Agents cannot be held responsible if the instructor
arrives at the destination of pick-up late due to unforeseen circumstances. In this event
any time over the 15 minutes waiting time will be added to a future lesson as agreed
between both parties.
5.4 In the event of a mechanical breakdown to the training vehicle or trailers. For any
other reason the instructor reserves the right to rearrange a driving lesson to a time
convenient to both parties.
5.5 In the event that the vehicle provided by Pass in Style Driver Training or Agents for any
reason breaks down or shows any internal engine management lights that signify a
problem with the vehicle during a practical driving test and as a result the test is
abandoned – Pass in Style Driver Training will retain any fee paid and no refund will be
given if the vehicle was in running order prior to the start of the practical driving test in
question. Any mechanical problem is deemed out of the control of Pass in Style Driver
5.6 Pass in Style Driver Training or Agents reserve the right to cancel or terminate any
lesson early on any reasonable grounds including but not limited to the following:
5.6.1 vehicle/road safety issues
5.6.2 Weather conditions that in the opinion of Pass in Style Driver Training or Agents make
it inadvisable to provide the lesson due to road safety issues
5.6.3 Students being or reasonably suspected or being under the influence of alcohol or
drugs or otherwise unfit to drive
5.6.4 Students not holding a valid UK provisional driving licence or failing to produce
evidence of such licence to the instructor and/or the police upon request. It will be the
Student’s responsibility to immediately notify the instructor of anything, which may affect
the validity of their driving licence or if their driving licence is revoked and the Student
will fully indemnify Pass in Style Driver Training or Agents for any loss claim or liability
arising from a failure to do so
5.6.5 Students exhibiting unacceptable behaviour including physical or verbal abuse of the
instructor or any staff of Pass in Style Driver Training or Agents.
5.6.6 Anything which may affect the validity of the motor insurance policy for the training
vehicle and it will be the Student’s responsibility to immediately notify the instructor of
anything which may affect the validity of the motor insurance policy and the Student will
fully indemnify Pass in Style Driver Training for any loss claim or liability arising from a
failure to do so.
If any of the above circumstances apply then the full booking fee will are payable and no
refunds will be given.
5.7.1 In the event that a Student is unable to take a practical or theory test due to safety
on the ground of alcohol or drug use or for any other reason the full booking fee will be
payable and no refunds will be given.
5.8 Once a Student has booked a course it does not guarantee that the instructor will
allow the use of the vehicle for a practical test. We therefore reserve the right to refuse
the use of our vehicles on the ground of safety or non-availability.
5.9 If Pass in style Driver Training or agents book a test on your behalf. These must be
paid for in advance before booking takes place. A fee will be charged for this service. 7
working days’ notice in writing with confirmation email returned must be given of change
or cancellation. Or fees will be forfitted.
6. Limitation of Liability
6.1 Pass in Style Driver Training are not responsible for any loss or damage which is not
foreseeable or results from circumstances outside of our control which will include
without limitation loss of profits, loss of earnings or loss of business or business
interruption or loss of business opportunity.
6.2 Nothing in these Terms will affect your statutory rights.
